As most bikers know, Bell pretty much invented the modern motorcycle helmet. In 1954, Roy Richter founded the helmet division of Bell Auto Parts and, in 1957, they introduced the most famous helmet in motorcycling history, the 500TX, a design that is now displayed in the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The exciting, mind-blowingly beautiful, full face Bullitt helmet. Others who have gone down a similarly classic route have merely reproduced designs from the seventies, but from the ground up, the Bullitt is brimming with originality. Take, for example, the fine mesh covered air intakes above the visor, or the magnetic visor closure system with its leather strap. The Bullitt is unlike any other helmet out there. It really is an innovative and daring piece of design. Three shell sizes. Quilted suede and leather interior. D-ring strap. Five year warranty. And so on. As far as we're concerned, the new Bullitt helmet is a masterpiece; as much a work of art as it is an item of protective headwear. It's quite simply the most exquisite full-face helmet we've ever seen. Just take one look at it, and you'll know you want one.
This particular design definitely takes its style cues from the 1970's mod era, in a muted matte grey colour with a slight pearlescent finish. There's matching mod font around the jawline as well which reads Bullitt. The interior is camel brown leather which sets off the colours perfectly and adds that extra level of luxury and sophistication.
