Brad is 21 years old, and has been riding for a few years, having started out on dirt bikes. However, he is also son of David T, who recently built a badass black CX500 cafe racer, which we featured a few months ago. As you might imagine, Brad decided he had to have one too. Good call, Brad.

Brad need his own wheels ASAP. "There’s a strong interest and a growing following of Café racers in our city, Christchurch in New Zealand. I have been to 'Smashed Palace' with Dad a few times. It's a cool bar, where Thursday is bike night, and all sorts of cool and customised bikes turn up." Some people call these the poor man's Guzzi. Either way they make a convincing brat style custom if you're prepared to put some work in.

"My CX donor bike was in very good condition, everything was ugly and original. Worked out how I wanted her to look, Stripped her down. The hardest part on the CX’s to get right is the line of the seat; the existing seat has been substantially chopped and shaped, then re-upholstered in high quality black leather."

"The guards have been shortened, tank, pods and guards professionally painted to a high standard. New gauges, headlight and slim LED blinkers and tail light fitted. Also tank stripes and graphics added."
