Why didn't we have a women's class at the Café Racer Cup? Well, we figure equality means exactly that - riding and racing bikes is for all to enjoy. Throttle control, body position, finesse, feeling and attitude - it's that stuff that makes the difference on two wheels, not anatomy.
That said, women's motorcycling exploits still receive nowhere near a fair share of airtime in traditional press and media. Step forward the Hairpin Journal, a blog written by women, about women who ride. Head over to their website for the event report and to hear how Caylee Hankins and Melissa Chubb got on, with more photographs by Charlie McKay.
