Harley-Davidson FXDR 114
By Ross Sharp - 29 Aug 18
Last year I had an absolute blast on the Harley-Davidson Softail Press Launch in the hills above Barcelona, see the ride report here. The 114 cubic inch water-cooled motor is my kind of powerplant, the grunt is seismic and near guarantees to curl the mouth of the grumpiest pilot. The H-D marketing spiel included a bold promise of 100 new motorcycles inside 10 years, yes, one hundred. That's quite a balls-on-the-block statement. But as you'll have seen over the last few weeks, it wasn't a hollow war cry.
Many of the models unveiled and some hinted at won't be available for sometime, but this one is. Our buddy, and Iron & Air Magazine's Executive Editor, Chris Nelson was one of the first to swing a leg over this, the FXDR 114. So what is it, who's it aimed at and most importantly what does it ride like? Well, head to Iron & Air for the full feature.
