CRD #23 Coyote

CRD #23 Coyote
Cafe Racer Dreams are one of our favourite custom builders, and are one of the handful of workshops out there that have a true house-style, with builds you can recognise regardless of the donor bike. Some of this is down to the styling, upholstery and paint, but there's also an eye on mechanical quality and useability, which makes sure the CRD builds end up where they belong. On the street. The Honda NX 650 Dominator has only recently become a popular donor for street scrambler and brat hybrids, but it's a well made machine from Honda with a pokey big single 644cc power plant and simple chassis with quality OEM components. Pedro has been teasing the build with teaser pics along the way, and of course the bike's photos have already been snapped up by the likes of Bike EXIF, so chances are you've seen this bike already - but as huge fans of Cafe Racer Dreams we still had to include it on our pages. Brake components are retained from the orignal, as back in 1989 these did a perfectly decent job. Red paper filters on carbs and engine breathers always look the part. This bike was commissioned for Jesus, took two months to build, and is a 1989 model. Getting the engine to breathe properly is usually first on the menu, so the bike run's K&N Filters and has a custom made pipe. The chassis has of course be chopped and shortened to accommodate the semi-Brat/Tracker style seat, while the forks and shocks are from the original bike, as they already do a decent job, and the wheels are laced to black Excel rims on Coker Diamond tyres. Fenders, number plate holder and of course that trademark paint is all from Cafe Racer Dreams. The Ignition key sits fashionably under the seat which also hides the battery. As usual, it's a lovely build from Pedro and his crew at CRD, and just in case you wondered how much they care...
